    @sickspastic there is a great AV for windows that windows created its verry affective free and works great its like 2 mb too + realtime guard so why care i dont see much slowdowns if i use my AV i use avira prenium security suite 9 its the best and it havent let me down

    In my testing, Windows 7 is the best now, in comparison to the 3 years I’ve been using XP.

    Some drivers don’t have 64-bit versions. The 4 GB G-Skill Pi Black series DDR2 800mhz RAM was a gift from my uncle since he didn’t need it and I suppose I could always use 64-bit.

    But the performance improvement is marginal and since my CPU probably isn’t stable at 4 ghz on 64-bit the performance is roughly the same. I have not even fully utilized my 3.5 GB available yet… but I suppose I could always set up a dual-boot of 32 and 64 bit once I get a larger hard drive.

    OS X is also the second most popular operating system available, therefore the second most targeted. so i think you’ll find it IS safer to use security software with it, just to be safe. windows needs security software the most NOT because of how shite it is, but because it’s the most popular and widely used operating system, meaning it’s the most targetted and the most at risk. and free antivirus does NOT suck. in fact, some of the free solutions are better than a lot of the paid ones.
