Can anyone please help me. WIndows 7 will not install on my Acer 5920G. It goes through most of the installation but then shutsdown. I think it messes up on classpnp.sys. I just get a black screen with a cursor. Please pm me.

that was a bit short but good

It’s the first time I use Adobe After Effects and Premiere. Even if I always detested the GUI in Adobe softwares but those are pretty well done. Anyway, about the user preferences things, It’s totally true, I don’t remember why but there’s a comment where I said that I preferred the Windows Explorer over the finder because the finder is full of eye-candy-not-really-useful feature like cover flow. But I do prefer quick look over the preview pane of Vista/7.
February 28th, 2010 - 10:29
While you may prefer some things that are in OSX, it just comes down to user preference. OSX has many things over Windows and it’s also true the other way around. Thats why I prefer to use both honestly. Nice vid btw, your pretty good.

OMG this conversation span over 3 pages and 4 different users. Anyway, I’ve decided to start a screen-cast to compare some basic features between OS X and Windows 7. I started with basic networking to settle this discussion and will then move over different part of both OS. You can see the video at watch?v=Wh-TDH63rq4
I didn’t do this to bash Windows but I did wanted to show that OS X provided more features and make them easier to use than Windows when we talk about file and screen sharing.
February 28th, 2010 - 11:19
Yes in VMware. I used it extensively since build 7000. I need Windows for my study since we use Visual Studio 2008 and Office 2007.
February 28th, 2010 - 11:32
Indeed. Indeed. Do you have 7 installed?
February 28th, 2010 - 11:53
OK I’ll do that later today.
Wow, that last sentence sounded like if it was some kind of religious fight we got here XD
February 28th, 2010 - 12:51
You can make a video if you want I guess, seems a little strange…. Basically with Windows 7, you plug in the network card and connect. I had it running in about 10 seconds within logging in. You can go ahead and make your little video I guess though. Your fanboyism won’t cloud my views.
February 28th, 2010 - 13:06
I’ll do both if you want. I don’t really care and I have anything that I need. But of course, if I do the Windows part, you might think that I edited the video so that OS X win
That’s why I offered it to you.
No seriously, just tell me how it can be easier than plug-the-network-cable? You don’t have to be sure both computer has the same workgroup (as it doesn’t exist on OS X) and with Mobile Me, you can even access all your mac over a WAN connection, without any configuration; APF and VNC.
February 28th, 2010 - 13:08
A video of network discovery? I don’t have all the time in the day as you. How bored are Apple fanboys to come troll a windows vid? Makes me ashamed every time I use one.
February 28th, 2010 - 13:13
oh woow, you can modify drivers to use SLI? Whats the point when you have such limited games? That’s actually not the best PC’s get either. it’s just something that can run whatever I throw at it.
February 28th, 2010 - 13:48
That was just said out of desperation… pathetic. I’m just about done with you.
February 28th, 2010 - 14:35
3. Are you sure that a SINGLE core i7 extreme (even overclocked) is faster than TWO? Because that’s what those Xeon are! 24 GB? Isn’t that the MAXIMUM that you can put on a LGA1366 motherboard?
There was a trap here. The Mac Pro support 32 GB and if I’m right, you can get an Xserve which go up to 48 or 64 GB! SLI? The Mac Pro support it with modified drivers, as the GTX 295…
Basically, I just named a mid range config and you tell me than THAT’s the best you can have? Not impressed. Sorry…
February 28th, 2010 - 14:58
2. I seriously don’t know what is easier than turning the wifi card on and let the OS do the rest… If you can prove me wrong, I invite you to show me a video of it. There’s one thing you’ll never be able to beat and that’s doing it with 2 clicks or less (don’t try to cheat by using the keyboard
).

1. You never used a MacBook, didn’t you? They have TWO FINGERS scrolling since about 4 years and up to 4 finger gestures since more than 2 years. That put Windows 7 2 years and a half late. Of course, you never said it has to have to be directly on the screen! But who care, it just cost more and give nothing interesting. (I used various tablet PC during the last 2 years and they are all crap and full of glitches. Also, the HP touch-smart has nothing to say about ergonomic posture…)
February 28th, 2010 - 15:48
Can you comprehend the english language?
1. I said MULTI-TOUCH TO DESKTOP AND NOTEBOOK COMPUTER SPACES. It brings multi-touch to desktops which has yet to be done. I was hoping the caps would get your attention.
2. I listed how it was better in my first post.
3. Mines is better for gaming with an overclocked core i7 extreme, 2x 1 TB HDD, 24GB RAM, and dual GeForece GTX295′s. Not to mention I can install a blu ray drive. lol
Why did you stop comparing macs in my last 2 points?
February 28th, 2010 - 16:20
Yeah it’s called download census. Anywho windows 7 is the absolute best, unlike that bloated pile of …. Vista, which I have to maintain each day to keep running at a fast speed
February 28th, 2010 - 16:36
1. Thanks for helping my argument that macs are overpriced
2. I don’t care if it was an update that added a wallpaper, or installed a entirely new operating system, your system uptime story was bullcrap, that was what my point was. Why should anyone beleive your far fetched get a mac stories.
3. Oh I had no idea that the exact hardware from pc’s is supperior with the apple logo on it. I will leave you alone with your GREAT logic.
February 28th, 2010 - 16:46
I don’t know if you realize but, we’re talking about the grand grand grand son of G5 which was used to build a super computer that was ranked third world fastest in 2003 with only 1100 of them.
The current Mac Pro is about 7 times faster than the G5. Right now, the only computers that can compete with that is a 8 CPU AMD Opteron machine.
February 28th, 2010 - 17:33
1. I’d like to remind you that even Windows XP has touchscreen support and that ever since, Tablet PC computer never sold very well.
2. What kind of argument is that? Can’t you prove it just for once?
3. There’s no mac with your hardware specs? Ok, what about a Mac Pro with two Xeon W5550 with 16 GB of RAM, two 128 GB SSD, and one GTX 285? That system boot in about 15 seconds and is the 6 most powerful system in the world. Now do your job on google and look at how fast those CPU are…
February 28th, 2010 - 18:23
1. Read my comment. Multi touch to DESKTOP AND NOTEBOOK COMPUTER SPACES. Unless you’re running a mobile version of OSX, shut up.
2. It’s easier in windows 7, just live with that.
3. All these games perform way better on pc’s. There are no macs that have my harware specs.
Do you know what customization is? That is basically referring to upgrading parts for the pc. That includes motherboards, processors, graphics cards, etc,
