your body when cold the blood flow to your extremities slows , hands feet ears, nose get cold faster cause the bulk of your blood is in the warmer parts of your body thus your chest upper legs torso stay warmer aiding in blood flow and th colder extremities suffer . thats why rubbing your hands and colder body parts feel good cause with friction your generating heat which helps blood flow.

In the winter, it’s obviously colder. Your body, when exposed to cold temperatures, will begin to protect itself from freezing to death. It naturally allows less blood to flow to the extremities. (finger, toes, feet, hands) That causes the lowered temperature. This way, more blood remains in the torso and head, where the vital organs are. That is why your fingers, toes, and nose are the first areas susceptible to frostbite. The way your body sees it, it would rather lose a couple of toes than have all its organs freeze and shut down.
