What’s An Affordable Smart Phone Similar to the iPhone and Blackberry Bold?
Reader question: I currently own a Samsung Synch on the AT&T Wireless network.
While I would love either an iPhone or the new Blackberry Bold, the costs of the phones and the necessary data plans are beyond my means.
I currently need something with internet access and email capabilities.
I need to stay on the AT&T network.
Any suggestions?

You’re born with 300 bones, but when you get to be an adult, you only have 206!

Palm Treo seems to be a bit less expensive, but certainly not as robust as the others.

Well, my first thought would be Pantech Duo. It is Free with a plan and then costs around $39 a month and includes 450 minutes plus a truckload of off-peak minutes. If you think it is not stylish, look at its double sliders – that’s really wacky and cool!
If you are ready to go with a “daddy” style, take Samsung BlackJack. It is not only free, you get a cash rebate.
They both run Windows Moblie, which is a huge plus! It depends on your style. I fancy any of these phones more than an iPhone, however, I myself use HTC. Regretfully, I cannot suggest any of HTC because none of them comes free with At&t at the moment.
