What is the historical relationship that has existed between United States & Mexico?
Reader question: i need some help writing a paper and these are some questions i have and couldn't find. help please.
Questions:
What is the historical background of the two countries.
How did a relationship begin between the two countries? Was the first contact friendly or hostile?
Has one country exerted dominance over the other or has the relationship remained equal in nature.
What natural resources have been available in each country? Have resources or land been the basis for the relationship?
What is the relationship of the two countries today?

the realtionship is we gained control over texas which used to belong to mexico.

HIstorically, the U.S. and Mexico had territorial issues, mostly over Texas. When Texas announced its independence from MExico, war erupted, and based on the fact that war was engaged between the two countries, relations were hostile. THe U.S. clearly exerted dominance over Mexico. REsources haven’t really been the basis for their relationship, but land was more.
