we are born alone and we die alone. One can never walk the path of another person however our paths can merge for a while, or we can travel next to someone (a clergyman once suggested that on one side is Jesus and the other is Buddha).

Having a relationship keeps one closer to the middle way, or, at least away from one of the two river banks.

The goal in life is relationships. To the degree you are successful is the degree of your life development. Your first relationship is with self then family and if your luck God. When you have reached the end days and look back it will be the relationships that count. Each one is no more important then the other. In the end you will know your worth.

Mutual Understanding.

Any relationship is fundamentally based on communication. With out, the ability to empathize with each other friendship would not exist and neither would long term romantic relationships. Youre in the right group of people or in the right partnership, if these people go out of there way to feel things as you feel them, see them as you do.They may not agree after doing so, but a friend / lover always tries. There will always be miscommunication but it's that want to be closer to the person that makes a relationship meaningful.
