June Foray, the voice of Talking Tina from the classic Twilight Zone episode “Living Doll”, was also the voice of Rocky the talking squirrel from “Rocky & Bullwinkle”.

They may be singing to a backing track but they are definately NOT miming. I have the original single and it sounds nothing like this. You can tell its live by the trouble they have in hitting some of the notes. I think this was their best single.
March 14th, 2010 - 09:47
Its the BBC And guess what …. ? They were miming !! It was compulsory as there were no mistakes !!!!
March 14th, 2010 - 09:54
brilliant
March 14th, 2010 - 09:56
They don’t make these ones longer…mainstream music today has no soul. Could have been on a Beatles-album.
March 14th, 2010 - 09:56
They all just look so mental. Just the hair. The hair alone…
March 14th, 2010 - 10:04
LISTEN! ALIVE! PERFECTION!

Cont.
Do Ya – the first time around (buf springfield ref) not the commercial cut.
Message from the County
Paul Mc can’t write great songs .. only rarely. John was the genius and it has nothing to do with his politics or him – Paul is more shallow but a nicer guy and I wish I could like Paul. I dislikes Wings. Not one great song. 3 good ones. HAHAHA

imo. The best of the Move (but I haven’t heard everything – talk to Dave about that). Not necessarily in order of favs. And yeah I know a lot of their early stuff but I like their middle and later stuff the best so I am not overlooking as much as you think I am.. ha.

And for the better.
March 14th, 2010 - 12:33
@JLynnefan
Technically..Roy was singing lead here..you can hardly hear Carl for most of the song.
March 14th, 2010 - 13:30
@harfarhs
What..he actually grinned ???
Outrageous.
March 14th, 2010 - 13:48
Seems slightly slower than the original..and Carl Wayne looks like doesn’t really want to be there.
March 14th, 2010 - 14:13
@lechaise – Bev Bevan grins at 2.03
March 14th, 2010 - 14:29
I love the song, but i guess they had to play it to death because everyone in this performance looks s**t bored except Carl Wayne.
March 14th, 2010 - 15:03
The drum kits on two wooden pallets! Where is this filmed(?), and when – its brilliant.
March 14th, 2010 - 15:08
I think Carl and Roy are singing in unison, but Roy’s voice is louder in the mix.
March 14th, 2010 - 15:16
Marvellous..could’ve got someone to play the mellotron part though!
March 14th, 2010 - 15:37
I like the harry nilsson’s “good old desk” intro turned into a bridge. brilliant.
March 14th, 2010 - 15:37
