My opinion is that its the next overhyped Apple product those elitists must have. Another waste of money I will be saving my money with.

Go to Roughlydrafted , and go to the archives for february.. there are some videos there called 10 myths of the iPad.. Just sharing.. you might be interested in it… Check out Video #9 in particular.. btw, its totally ok to hate the iPad.. I was just trying to help and give an opinion. It is really advanced tech in reality. I’m not so happy about apples closed approval process, but I can understand it. Nice chatting!

Unlike most you have met I keep an open mind. Did you ever have a Windows Mobile phone? The apps run in the background and make the system very buggy. You actually need to manage your processes manually… I already do that on my desktop… its a pain, and an old design.. Do you really want to do that on a mobile device also? If you’re interested you should take a look at these videos. Unlike me, he is an “apple” guy, but he makes sense.

The iPad is running a STATE OF THE ART preemptive multitasking operating system.. The existing design was actually harder to implement, and BETTER. The last thing I would want is a virus monitoring my SMS & GPS. Trust me, when I close an app, I WANT IT TO BE CLOSED. When app concurrency comes, it will be simple to have the OS manage your processes. As a result, the app base is designed to exit gracefully, save state, and resume. I have been in the industry A LONG TIME.. and have a clue!

It was quoted as having “the best browsing experience.” I’m just stating that it’s a steaming load. Some went as far as to say that it would replace laptops or netbooks. Supplemental? Not in apples eyes.

iPad is a SUPPLEMENTAL device.. in addition to your computer… As far as storage goes, my first computer had 5KB of ram, and only 170K of storage, and back then I believed I could do almost anything with it. I guess I’m a fool, because when I get my 3G iPad I will be able to remote access my PC with RDP and run Windows 7 right on the iPad Touchscreen. Its all about the apps man, the APPS!!.. Btw, I’m a Microsoft Certified System Engineer, I’m a PC, and iPad is a great product.
