   camera is best on a smart phone yet and IS really fast at focusing. i can share photos and video to youtube, facebook, email, mms when ever and where ever i like. i can chat on line to friends on msn messenger, google talk, aol messenger, skype, text and even facebook as it supports jabber accounts. can the rather limited iphone do this? nope! and i am an apple fan… but the N900 is brilliant!

   1: jerky video… never had an issue even on 2g signal.
   2: not intuitive… its a doddle.. Jon-it flashes at you and highlights the missed call in your apps display. LOOK YOU BLITHERING IDIOT IT SHOWN IN THE FILM ON YOUR REPORT!
   3: i have not issue with the screen-you have fat fingers! try typing on an iphone-oh no-wait… no real keyboard with shortcuts to symbols!

   I am a n900 owner and I have to say that this phone can take a little while to get used to, but when you do it is a superb device!!! I would always choose this over the iphone which can only rely on the apps store as the rest of the phone is shocking!!

   ive just bought this phone after doing some research on the web….all i can say is money well spent. the phone is excellent, the os is a little tricky, but it grows on you, very easy to grasp.

   ive havd the n810 for a year now, and moving on to this phone was a breeze. some of the apps for maemo2008 can run on maemo5.

   ive already managed to get the snes emulator and the mms working.

   btw it supports ogg files, but you need to download the codec for it.

    Your main gripes with the phone: Hard to use OS, Flat Keyboard, Poor Touchscreen.

    This guy is clearly an Apple fanboy………The N900′s keyboard isn’t overly flat and is far better than the Moto Milestone, The touchscreen is RESISTIVE and actually not hard to use at all. the OS can take some getting used to, but so do all new OS released…..

    Sorry, but this guy has used the phone for two seconds, nice way of trashing a phone without doing the adequate research.

    Is this guy taking the piss? The only two bad points about the phone, email and battery life, he liked? I think he needs to spend some more time with the devices before reviewing them.

    Yknow, the Gadget Show is really getting on my nerves – they are Iphone fanatatics. Pure and simple. hey barely get through a month with another Iphone comparison…..ffs give it up! Its an ipod touch with mobile functionalities!!!!!!!!

    I cant believe they are looking for any excuse to compare the device with every bloody Nokia going. It was a fair battle with the N96, 96 and 97 but the N900? Come on! The N900 is a monster of a phone!(Can I even call it a phone?????)

    i get your point, but tons of people bought 360 elites and when they 1st came out they were the same price as a 3g ipad, so most people can afford 1. i agree that people should not count the ipad out before the developers have a go with it. i think the ipad is every thing that i wanted the iphone to be and more.Ipad could be tight, i hope it is. but to end this comment i must say that the Nokia N900 is the undisputed king. it takes a real genius to handle that power. For genius’s only. ^_^

    i am using nokia N900 and it rocks a big time
    as promised it gives a smooth interface
    also multitasking is damn fast
    have seen videos of people running 2 OS at a time on N900 (Android and Maemo ) & also have seen mac running on it
    So I-Phone lovers a bad news for you that N900 can function like your cell phone as an multitasking feature of its own .. lol hhehe
    screen is damn resistant
    overall a very nice phone and also one of best gadget of the year
