The Four Horsemen HD: Hour 1 of 2 – Discussions with Richard Dawkins, Ep 1
Exclusive video!
richarddawkins.net - On the 30th of September 2007, Richard Dawkins, Daniel Dennett, Sam Harris and Christopher Hitchens sat down for a first-of-its-kind, unmoderated 2-hour discussion, convened by RDFRS and filmed by Josh Timonen. All four authors have recently received a large amount of media attention for their writings against religion - some positive, and some negative. In this conversation the group trades stories of the public's reaction to their recent books, their unexpected successes, criticisms and common misrepresentations. They discuss the tough questions about religion that face the world today, and propose new strategies for going forward. This video is provided free online by The Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science (RDFRS) and http . My favorite is the guy on the left…. the right guy in black is, in my opinion, too young and, therefore, stupid, to be sitting at that table…. interesting conversation though… brain food!

It’s very refreshing to see such intelligent comments interrupted by even more intelligent comments.

so amazing seeing this in HD. That makes it possible to see some of the book titles. Anyone pick out some of the other titles, I see OED set, Pauline Kael, several books on Hollywood, Thoreau, Pompeii, Cole Porter. Love seeing what others read or have read.
CH really has a magnificent voice.
I would love to add Lawrence Krauss and Steven Pinker to this discussion.

There are three models of Government competing for world domination:
(1) Communist / atheist: where government officials decide and dole out your temporal rights if any
(2) Sharia Law: where the Qu’ron governs
(3) Judeo-Christian model, where God grants our rights & liberties and THEREFORE they are unalienable, power resides in we the people, we are sovereign and the government is our servant.

June 24th, 2010 - 12:46
@Calhor I know, right! A similar thing happened to me and my Atheist friends, we were sitting in the school cafeteria, and we just happened to shift to the topic of religion, then we had this huge discussion. Ant the best part was when this power-christian kid came up to us and told us we were “disturbing the peace”
June 24th, 2010 - 13:05
@GBJ83 So you either have no sense of humor, or your joke just wasn’t funny. Sorry mate, but the vitriol is a welcome distraction from the usual venom drenched, witless vomit I usually read on these pages? YOU DECIDE

June 24th, 2010 - 15:51

June 24th, 2010 - 16:30
