Repairing the ring of death on your Xbox 360 can be frustrating and a hassle. Especially when you have no clue as to what to do or how to do it. So, what I'm going to do is share with you some Xbox 360 ring of death repair tips.

That way, you can fix the red lights yourself and won't ever have to worry about it becoming a problem again.

The Xbox 360 ring of death repair tips are:

1. The first way to fix the ring of death is to deal with the overheating of your Xbox. This is why it is having problems. Your Xbox 360 lacks an effective cooling system which makes it easy for your game system to overheat.

2. The next way to fix the ring of death is to send your Xbox to Microsoft. If your Xbox is still under warranty, it will be free. However, it will take them a long time to fix it. So be prepared to wait a while. If it's not under warranty, you will have to pay over $100 to get it fixed.

3. The third Xbox 360 ring of death repair tip is to fix it yourself. It's easy to do. And I recommend you do it this way. Once you fix it yourself, you won't have to worry about the red lights ever coming back on again. It will take about an hour to fix and you will need some household tools.

To fix the problem: Take the case off and remove the DVD drive. Take off the heat sink and x clamp. Next you should clean the GPU and CPU. After doing this, you will need to put some thermal compound on the GPU. The thermal compound costs about $1. You can find it at any electronic or computer store.

After applying the compound, put the two washers below and above the heat sink screws on the motherboard. When you are done doing this, put everything back together. And you're done. It's simple. And I highly recommend you fix it yourself.

Trying to fix the ring of death on your Xbox 360 can be difficult and frustrating. Especially when you don't know the proper way of fixing it. So, what I'm going to do is share with you some tips on how to fix Xbox 360 ring of death.

That way, you can get back to playing all of your games.

The tips on fixing the ring of death on your Xbox 360 are:

1. The first way to fix the ring of death is to send your Xbox back to Microsoft. If your game system is still under warranty, they will fix it for free. However, it will take them a very long time to send it back to you after they have fixed it.

If you aren't under warranty anymore, they will charge you over $100 to repair it.

2. Another way to fix the red lights is to deal with the overheating of your Xbox. This is one reason why your game system is experiencing the red lights of death. It happens to about 30% of the Xbox game systems. It's caused by the lack of a cooling system in your Xbox.

3. The best way to fix Xbox 360 ring of death is to repair it yourself. This is easy to do. I will show you a video that will walk you through fixing it. All you need is some household tools and about 45 minutes of your time.

Once you have fixed your Xbox, you won't have to ever worry about the ring of death coming back.

The Xbox 360 red ring is a malfunction of the Xbox 360 that is rather common. It can mean one of two things. You shouldn't worry, as you can fix both of them.

Microsoft's Xbox 360 has a built in system that uses the green lights around the start button to indicate a general idea of what is wrong with the console. This allows technicians and users to identify the problem faster and thus, making the repair easier.

There are 4 lights around the start button, forming a circle, and they are usually green. Few users know that they can turn red until they get one of the four red light malfunctions.

The Xbox 360 red ring can be a true full ring. This means that all four of the green lights around the start button turn red. This also prevents your Xbox 360 video game console from working, so, you won't be able to play games or DVDs. This is because you're A/C cable isn't working.

One way to carry out this Xbox 360 red ring fix is to disconnect and reconnect the A/C cable. This usually works if the problem was that the cable wasn't properly connected. Another quick Xbox 360 red ring fix is to clean the ends of the A/C cable clean of dust and debris. Sometimes, leaving your Xbox 360 on the same place for a long time causes it to accumulate dust that will eventually block contact between cables and other components.

Finally, another Xbox 360 red ring fix is to use a different A/C cable. While this might be easy for technicians who have plenty of spare parts around, it might not be easy for the average user. In that case, your best bet is to borrow one from a friend who has a working Xbox 360 video game console. If this works, then you know that you can buy a new A/C cable for yourself. Don't keep your friend's cable, it will just create bad ill and you'll lose a friend whom you can trade games with.

The Xbox 360 red ring can also refer to the so called "red ring of death." This means that only 3 of the green lights turn red, so it's not a complete ring. Nevertheless, it's a much more common and famous hardware malfunction. It means that some internal part of your Xbox 360 console is malfunctioning.
