   I remember first playing strider2, I was blown away! And the mis-print with strider 1 and 2, I think they messed that up with every copy lol

   strider 2 was actually originally an arcade game and was ported to the ps1 a year later.

   strider 1 is STILL an awesome game, over 20 years later. great music, great gameplay and EXCELLENT GRAPHICS that have aged very well!

    Never knew Strider was a Manga charecter before it was a game its crazy! Maybe it set the trend! It’s got a kind of the original sonic game(the arcade version!) kind of style going on!

    when the 1st marvel vs capcom came out they released a toyline and I was lucky enough to get the pack that had strider in it

    Nice review of the series. Strider for the arcade/genesis is still my favorite game of all time. It’s one of the first games I played and it’s still a blast to play.

    I didn’t know that there was an arcade version until the Genesis port was released and I remember all of the excitement over it being an 8 meg cart.

    I never was able to find a PSX copy; now I see why…

    I did however find the instruction manual in a vendors’ trash at my local flea market once and asked him why he threw it away. I can’t remember what he said but, I just gave in this look like “Do you have any idea WHAT this IS?? Are you an idiot?!”

    I should have went through the whole can!

    Loved Strider for the Genesis, never owned it myself though.

    Wasn’t aware of all those other games. The PS game looked really sweet.
