Redwolf Labs 05: 6mm VS 8mm Pain Test
Exclusive video!
In this episode of Redwolf Labs we test the myth that 8mm BBs hurt less than 6mm BBs due to larger surface area. We used 0.36g 8mm BBs and 0.20g 6mm BBs Featuring: Marushin Police Revolver 3inch silver: www.redwolfairsoft.com HFC L85A1 Springer www.redwolfairsoft.com Marushin Kar98K Sporter in silver www.redwolfairsoft.com Marusen APS SR2 Long Range Version www.redwolfairsoft.com

the 8mm feels like a mini slug shell and the 6mm gives a more sharper sting and less drag and the air and lighter for more velocity. 8mm is good for shotguns and m203, but not regular guns
September 10th, 2010 - 07:12
8mm’s bigger, heavier and probably it will hurt more!!
September 10th, 2010 - 08:11
@evilmax116 or better still a .36g 6mm, assuming same fps again
September 10th, 2010 - 08:53
But where the bbs of different weights.
September 10th, 2010 - 09:44
the surface doesn’t make any difference between “pain” and projectile which has a larger surface has less penetration capabilities (8mm) a projectile with a small surface has more penetration capabilities (6mm)
September 10th, 2010 - 10:36
that looks nothing like a kar98
September 10th, 2010 - 10:45
@MrMuthaUcker Ah ok didnt catch that, and i agree, but the same weight bb would have also made it slightly better.
September 10th, 2010 - 11:19
@Crich775 no they said at start in writting that tthey were using .20g 6mm and .36g 8mm to make it fair they should have yoused the same weight bbs going at the same fps
September 10th, 2010 - 11:59
@sniperownsuhard the bbs can be no worse than being filicked with a finger
other times it will make you bleed but realy it only hurts for a miniute or two its not like paintball when days later yo have massive brusses its just little marks
you will be okay
September 10th, 2010 - 12:25
@sniperownsuhard its not gonna hurt alot if you wearing clothing or playing dressup, if your back or other parts of your body was bare like the resident pornstar its gonna feel alot different!
September 10th, 2010 - 12:44
Hey redwolf, why ain’t you try and increase the FPS from the Marushin 8mm M1911A1? That would be awesome if you try and make it happen.
September 10th, 2010 - 13:19
@evilmax116 Well they also didnt even list the weights, they could have also used a heavy 6mm bb(you can get really heavy metal ones) so it would be the same weight as the 8mm.
September 10th, 2010 - 13:32

different weighted bullets were used and the guns did not shoot with the same amount of power as each other. The variables have to be the same!!
September 10th, 2010 - 16:03
my handgun is 6mm 470 fps :p
I think that would hurt a lot
September 10th, 2010 - 16:19

September 10th, 2010 - 17:23
imagine being shot by a 450/510 fps gun with a 8mm bb…
September 10th, 2010 - 18:17
haha well read the description : We used 0.36g 8mm BBs and 0.20g 6mm BBs :p
September 10th, 2010 - 19:13
@evilmax116 No, they need to make the weights the same
September 10th, 2010 - 19:17
I got shot in the arm from a 400 FPS m60 from about seven feet away with .20 gram 6mm BBs. It stings more, but when ur hit with a 8mm BB, you get a huge ass bruise. (I was shot from 25 feet away with a 340 8mm Airsoft M1Garand)
