   @leglesstheelf. Heart works naturally with very small electrick charges and defibrillator kinda jolts the heart to restart. If it stops completely it WILL look like flat-line they show on the screen. Check wikipedia for heart and defibrillators and EKG

   I was told by a paramedic that the defibrilators actually stop your heart – it works because your heart is able to restart itself if it stops completely, but it can’t deal with spasms or the like. But then, I’m not at all sciencey, so I might have understood it wrong.

    So what DOES the heart monitor do when the heart stops? Does it make another noise? I already knew that flat lining meant the cable was out, but I never found out what it actually does for a stopped heart…

    You’ll find he said a “paupers funeral.”
    ie. someone with no money. If he did say “porpoise funeral’, I think we’re back to that big-arsed fish coffin at the beginning.
