Thanks d. I try to have a positive outlook on these things. If it sucks, I’m probably not going to talk about it unless it’s so news worthy that I can’t help it or I get asked directly about it. Just not my style. I like talking about things I’m excited about. Let me know if you get one and your thoughts on it if you do!

I second the notion on buying the first gen iPhone, for example, too. Although it was steep at the time, and the price went down fairly quickly, when I look back on having used it, I’m just grateful that I got to enjoy it for the time before a better, sexier one came out.

Very good perspective overall on the iPad. There was a lot of negativity directed towards it (especially when it was first announced), but I feel those commentators, who were mostly advanced users in the tech community, overlooked just how great the iPad’s capabilities are at its core (with the caveat that the thing hasn’t even been released yet).
