nice song
September 10th, 2010 - 06:23
Oh God, 1:13 was so beautiful
September 10th, 2010 - 06:36
@ChubbyPK Partly you’re right. But all the creed songs were made after his key, and now they changed it. Such a little different from only a half step can change so much. I’m not defending him, he’s a terrible singer but the understanding why they changed key for all the songs is beyond me.

@Mathemoto that doesnt make any sense at all, its easier for scott to sing lower pitches, he just doesnt take care of himself ie. smoking, prior alchohal abuse, not a lot of vocal excercise during creeds disbandment. Scott is riding off the fame that creed once had. If creed just began today, they wouldnt be anywhere as popular as they once were

Who the fuck uses AOL anymore…
September 10th, 2010 - 08:20
The problem these days from what i’ve heard is that they dropped the guitar and bass down a half step and I guess that’s why it makes it harder for Scott to adjust.

@DirkJV Dude, just take a look at these other live clips of him doing the song, they’re all vastly different performance qualities than this one, and this one happens to be in a studio setting. Coincidence? I think not, he is most certainly using vocal correction. Again, not knocking him, I like Creed and I like(d) his voice, but he’s simply lost some of the edge.

@withoutaface11 AutoTune? Are you freaking crazy? You tell by the dynamics that he uses that he cant be using autotune, do me a favor!
September 10th, 2010 - 09:42
It makes me sad to hear how well Scott does in this video and then realize he’s totally auto-tuned…I have nothing against the man, but he simply doesn’t have it any more, and the live clips show that, it’s sucks, to be honest, he had a more than decent voice at one point.
September 10th, 2010 - 10:14
Scott sounded Awesome in these AOL videos, I think when he gets in front of a big croud like on the “Creed Live” DVD he just pushes to hard and strains his voice.
September 10th, 2010 - 10:30
Its pretty nice.
September 10th, 2010 - 10:33
He sounds really good here

In the beginning, back in 1955, man didn’t know ’bout a rock ‘n’ roll show, ‘n’ all that jive. The white man had the schmaltz, the black man had the blues, no one knew what they was gonna do, but Tchaikovsky had the news. He said, ‘Let there be sound, and there was sound, let there be light, and there was light, let there be drums, ‘n’ there was drums. Let there be guitar, there was guitar, let there be rock, and there was rock..And it came to pass, that rock ‘n’ roll was born… Long Live Creed

Thanks but what string does he touch with his finger is it the low e?
September 10th, 2010 - 14:01
oh and one more think make sure u have distortion and lots of gain. Its easier on the bigger strings. Treble helps to.
September 10th, 2010 - 14:06
Thanks, will try that
September 10th, 2010 - 14:32
harmonics. hammer on and off of a string and run your fingers along the string softly by the pickups. It will pick up harmonics by the pickups.
September 10th, 2010 - 15:01
when did you hear that?
September 10th, 2010 - 15:05
How does Mark make that cool riff at 1:55 – 1:57
September 10th, 2010 - 15:20
theres no autotune, he sings sharp at points. the sound quality is very compressed which is throwing sound artifacts into the mix, on the vocals, guitar and drums, but nothing to show any evidence of autotune
September 10th, 2010 - 15:28
Youre deluded.
He is clearly using autotune on these sessions. Anybody with any music knowledge can hear it.
