My Gay Catholic College Coming Out
Exclusive video!
Gay AND Catholic? True story. Turns out, they're not mutually exclusive. Here's how a positive experience at a Catholic college served to strengthened my faith in simple things. Thanks for the questions. I hope for your comments. -mary b GO to www.FortunateFamilies.com if you have catholic parents that might be open to some support. amazing story!!!
January 27th, 2010 - 03:53
Sigh. Charity is so hard to practice.
I would recommend reading DREADNOUGHT. A blog by a gay catholic. He is pretty much the only person who is both out and orthodox. Like Chaste, while not being self-hating.
Worth a read.

@paxcoder…I will repeat
I now know you are mentally ill.
I will pray for you
God Bless !
January 27th, 2010 - 04:38
Well you also think you can be Catholic and practice homosexuality (and cherry-pick the dogmas), so…
January 27th, 2010 - 05:18
i now know youre mentally ill…
i will pray for you
God Bless
January 27th, 2010 - 05:29
Homosexuality is a poorly covered subject with a rising trend. My intentions are explained in my videos.
Also, you don’t need to repeat yourself.
January 27th, 2010 - 06:25
God isn’t evil. God won’t save those who don’t want to be saved. And God doesn’t rewrite dogmas. Could he do any of those things? Irrelevant. It just isn’t going to happen. And your “brother” (if he really is a bishop as you say) knows this.
January 27th, 2010 - 07:12
@paxcoder
and for the last time….. my brother says to relate to you that…”NOTHING is ‘impossible’ with God .”
January 27th, 2010 - 07:35
@paxcoder
The fact that you make videos about gay people who are a very small minority around the world, less than 10%….some who lead chaste lives and therfore leaveing a small amount of people you would call “sinners”…and you do not make videos about Divorce ..over 50% worldwide..which is far more threatening to Catholic life…shows that you are simply homophobic and therefore a great sinner.
You must go to confession!
January 27th, 2010 - 08:12
I just spoke to him an hour ago, so Im sorry but you really have no authority to speak over a Catholic Bishop.
He told me to tell you to Pray about your homophobia. That your concern should be more in the line of perhaps speaking of the worldwide Divorce rate which is over 50% for most countries. Divorce is severely more threatening to family life than less than 10% of world population that is gay. some who are not married and some who lead chaste lives.
January 27th, 2010 - 08:58
I need to point out that despite you accusing everyone else to be hateful or with mental issues and bad Catholics, it is you who is xenophobic, insulting others, and teaching non-Catholic things.
For the last time now(although everyone is tired of repeating this): It is simply impossible for dogma to be changed, and with this final repetition of that fact I will too end this conversation.
January 27th, 2010 - 09:17
You must’ve misunderstood your brother if he is indeed a Bishop, because I find it hard to believe that person with such a position would make an error as grave as that.
You may wait for the Church to give in. But it won’t. “The gates of Hell (tongues of heretics) shall not prevail against [the Church]“.
January 27th, 2010 - 09:22
with fearless faith and love for my brothers, I side with no one but my Creator, The Redeemer.
January 27th, 2010 - 09:22
perfectly summarized, @giuseppeit.
January 27th, 2010 - 09:26
My brothers “opinion “, a Roman Catholic Bishop…is irrelevant? Yours is more relevant than his?
LOL…ok now I know you have serious mental issues.
BYE
January 27th, 2010 - 09:56
As I have said, disorders are natural by the definition of “natural” (ie observable in nature).
Your brother’s opinion is irrelevant (or misinterpreted?). Dogma cannot be revised, I will not repeat this anymore. If you suggest it one more time, this conversation will be over as it probably should’ve been already. Btw, read Romans 1.
January 27th, 2010 - 10:24
There are 950 000 species of insects alone. You do the math.
And what some regard “homosexual behavior” isn’t what you’d think. I suggest you read the first article for the Google result for “homosexual rams” (title: “rams and homosesexuality”).
And all those things you mentioned, the wikipedia you quote clearly says “one or more of the following”, not all.
January 27th, 2010 - 11:24
>So yes, things may be written in the Catechism, but doesnt mean they cannot be challenged as they have been in the past.
No, they haven’t. Artificial contraception is forbidden, but not natural contraception. That’s why there are fewer kids. And even if everyone used condoms, this doesn’t mean it would become ok.
>Once again, history proves the Church has admitted error in the past
Never, ever, on dogmatic teachings.
January 27th, 2010 - 11:25
>The catechism of the Catholic Church is very thick, and only one small section of a page talks about gay life. That one small section is in error and someday it will be changed.
You have no idea what being a Catholic means. The Catechism cannot be in error, and the new edition cannot contradict the old one. The amount of text a particular subject takes is irrelevant.
>there are many divorced Catholics.
Which can’t receive communion
>I am in total agreement with the teachings
Not even close
January 27th, 2010 - 11:39
Man, not every species even procreates sexually! How can you then claim they all exhibit homosexual behavior? You’re making up things. “Read science”
January 27th, 2010 - 11:59
@paxcoder
Yes seen in animals. Thus it related to humanity as well. We use rats in laboratory tests for humans, so observing behavior and health matters in animals is dierctly related to health and human behavior as well. Its natural and part of nature. Sin is voluntary …and other than Original Sin,not a question of nature and birth. Therefore created by God.
My brother is a Catholic Clergyman in Rome and he says serious revisions will be made for gay relations, its a matter of time
January 27th, 2010 - 12:10
@paxcoder
Type “Homosexual behavior in Animals” and you will see in wikipedia and other sources that 1500 species have been observed to have sex, courtship,affection, pair bonding, and parenting.
January 27th, 2010 - 12:22
@paxcoder
The Church also says contraception is wrong. Statistics say few, if any Catholics follow that rule. Thats why families with 10 children are now rare. My mother is one of 10 children, very common for her mothers time.
So yes, things may be written in the Catechism, but doesnt mean they cannot be challenged as they have been in the past.
Once again, history proves the Church has admitted error in the past…so therefore it can happen again
Ciao !
January 27th, 2010 - 12:33
@paxcoder
The truth is in the beholder. Youre not gay so therefore its very easy for you to say its truth. I was born gay and so I will not accept that I cannot have a full life in a commited relationship just like you.
The Church is in error in saying we cannot have realtionships, yet I am confident one day that will change!
God Bless!
January 27th, 2010 - 13:18
@paxcoder
The catechism of the Catholic Church is very thick, and only one small section of a page talks about gay life. That one small section is in error and someday it will be changed.
Divorce is also prohibited in our Church, yet there are many divorced Catholics.
Other than that one small section on gays, I am in total agreement with the teachings of our Faith and I love my Church very much.
Anything else?
