I have used the MiLI PowerPack for a couple of weeks. It adds a little weight, but not too much. I appreciate the fact that I can sync or download software upgrades without having to remove the battery pack/case. I have not studied the battery life systematically, but it seems to offer plenty of back up. I listened to a radio program for about 8 hours and still had some battery power left. The battery level indicator is unreliable, however. Or at least it appears to be, so I would rely on the amount of time you recharge the unit more than how many blue lights (of 4) are prominent. I had some problem registering for the warranty on-line, so I sent an email to the company’s Albuquerque, NM address, and I had a prompt reply that my warranty was good for one year. That was a relief, because frankly, I have had problems with warranty service on other products manufactured and distributed by Chinese or Taiwanese companies. My iPhone 3G is more valuable than ever with the extended time provided by this unit.
