   Well, it is actually a different ship. The Normandy 2 is made by Cerberus, not the Alliance. It has a different FTL drive as well and is a lot larger, but it feels like a welome upgrade from the original. It even has a men’s and a woman’s rest room.

   That shot from the demo is not of the end. That is the first Normandy getting destroyed and Shepard is floating out in space. He later on gets the Normandy 2.

   I think you can beat ME2 without doing any of the side quests but it will probably be very hard if you are at a low level.

   In mass effect 2 he dies according to how good your team was. if you just play the main story without side quest you will die. if you do every side quest with your team you will survive.

   I haven’t even played ME1 (Gonna play it soon, my friend is letting me borrow it) and I don’t like the idea of Sheperd dieing. I don’t want to play a game for hours and then have the main character die. It would feel like I accomplished nothing.

    it has to do with the equpitment you have at the end of the game, so if you don’t upgrade your armor and just rush threw the game sheperd dies

    Pick a different game. ME has never been about Elder Scrolls style open-endedness. It’s in the style of KoToR. It’s about 1 guy, the only variance is in how you play him.

    If worse comes to worse… Replay the game and figure out what decisions we made in order to make our Sheperd die. Then fix it.

    Shepard is the main character in the third one, however, your personal story would end if he dies in this one.

    They said that they are going to make a trilogy. So they are either gonna resurrect him or maybe he makes a Baby Shepard? I dont know.
