Mass Effect 2 kicked ass but I hated a few things_ 1-Kaidan was only there for like 5 minutes in the whole game 2-Jacob cuz he annoyed the hell out of me and 3-Jack was a pain in the ass the whole game

I hated scanning planets to but you know theres a Normandy upgrade that can make EDI do it for you? you just tell her what u want to find and she finds it for you

Scanning planets SUCKS.. takes way too long to do.
Load screens after you die is a pain in the ass, but doesn’t happen often.
Hard to be a renegade without feeling like a complete douchebag
Otherwise, game kicks tons of ass, and now I am very eager to see Mass Effect 3

one thing i like in mass effect is that once u beat the game you can play it as a different class and the game fells like its new

@Detholize 30 hours would be a good estimate if you are playing most/all of the missions and some random exploring. I did it in about 31-32 hours with everything completed.

Honestly, I wouldn’t sell it just yet. Some of the changes grow on you a lot more as you play it. The main story is still kind of weak, I played at least 15-20 hours before I learned anything new or big about the story. But after about the 10 hour mark I started getting hooked. And believe me, I hated it just as much as you at the start.
It’s a bit closer to the original than you might think after the 1st few missions.

@ tokinblckgie yes!! finally!! someone who agrees that they have royally fucked the gameplay on this game. im so let down i played the first 2 or 3 missions and im going to trade this piece of shit game in tomorrow. they just ruined perfection. i shall now buy no more bioware fuck em

I’m cool with most of the changes now, but they did cut back quite a few of the rpg elements to make it more of a shooter.

We can take the shooting off and turn it into Heavy rain But that wold suck
How many RPG’s have 100′s Hours of Hack/Slashing and no one Complains
Soo the shooting Aspect its better now that dos not make it less of an RPG

1) Ok.
2) A better term would be command-able, playable creates the assumption that one can play as one of the characters besides Shepard directly.
3) Ok.

well it didnt really take any customization
in fact it put in more like actually being able to customize armor instead of finding new better armor all the time
all my opinion though
i just like like every element of this game better

RPG elements are not better. Shooter elements are, but not RPG. Still, a great game.

Yeah, it’s pretty much a shooter now. If you like 3rd person shooters you’ll probably love it. If you like the rpg elements in the 1st (like me) you’ll be pretty disappointed. A lot of the rpg and customition stuff is gone, but again if you like shooters more, you’ll probably like it.

I’ve heard that this is more of a shooter than ME1, and they took out the majority of RPG elements in it, but added amazing combat? Any opinions on this…opinon?
