  1. My daughter has a Linksys router that works fine so I purchased this one hoping it would work for me. Setup was confusing, I was not able to get WEP to work properly (you have to type in the code manually on your other wireless computers – what a hassle), plus it has poor range. Perhaps I just got a lemon since it was a rebuilt one, but then again, perhaps not. I’m sure glad Amazon has such a wonderful return policy. If you get one of these, keep the box and all the material so you can return it easily.

  3. My old wireless g router was getting flakey, so I got this one – very reasonable price, fast delivery, altogether a good purchase. Setup was easy, and both laptops downloaded much faster. In my experience, refurbished is often better than new. And most problems show up in the first 30 days with electronics, so a ninety day warranty is plenty. Interesting to see Cisco starting to brand linksys products with the Cisco emblem.

  4. This Linksys router is my first one by linksys and I am not disappointed. Aside from looking sleek and sexy, it has been consistent and reliable. The installation CD got me hooked up in minutes. Unfortunately I bought mine used so I had to go online to figure out how to get into the router setup on my browser. I’m still working out how to WEP secure my wireless network. The network my Computer and laptop are on is WEP secured but the router still allows connectivity to itself via an unsecured network. I’m sure a Linksys forum will help me with this though. Overall a solid Router and wireless N isn’t the fastest but still faster than wireless G.

  5. About a month after buying this the guys over at DD-WRT made their firmware to fit this model. I was so happy when I found out. Even at stock this router is great and handles a home network nice.

    But after putting DD-WRT on this thing, it flies I’m so happy I bought this and that it works with their Firmware. The refurb came just like new and is excellent. Such an awesome deal for a normally expensive product!

    Just to note, this is the v3 model as of the date of my post.

    A++++++++ Thank you!
