This is a great device. However if you own Windows 7 computers on your network this device will not work! Otherwisw 5 star across the board…….

Replaced a several years old D-Link DWL-2100 AP with this product. After one night — a night full of dropped signals and buffering…buffering…buffering, back in the box it goes. All equipment testing at less than half the signal/bandwidth that the old access point provided. I would rather spend the money to replace a burned out access point every three or four years.

Purchased this to augment my Wireless G system; now I have both covering our large house.
Set up was easy, and the unit has performed flawslessly since new. Fast; and decent range. Everyone of my dozen, or so, devices connect without a problem. No regrets.

I bought both the access pointLinksys by Cisco WAP610N Wireless-N Access Point with Dual-Band and access bridgeLinksys by Cisco Dual-Band Wireless-N Gaming and Video Adapter. I have two existing A/G access points and the plan was that this access point and bridge would replace one of them and provide me with N coverage. It never worked. The coverage was worse than my exist A/G access points and even in the same roon the connect was dropped. I would have returned both the access point and bridge had I not thrown out the packaging. T would look for a different product.

This access point was easy to set up, secure, it and works great with the WRT610 Router. I have the router at one end of my home and this access point at the other and now I have full coverage. My home is wired for Ethernet so I just plug this access point into any active RJ45 port and into power and I have wireless coverage.
