    I guess they were just trying to coin their own variation of a zombie, but that’s all they basically are. They’re very dead, but they’re not reanimated corpses so much as possessed. The bacteria is supposed to be controlled by the Sovereign which would mean she’s in control of all the Non-dead walking around. I don’t know if that makes me more like flesh-covered ghosts or what.

    More I think about it, the more confusing it gets.

    Yeah. I’ve noticed that too. They start off normal, but sometimes they change color while on screen. I don’t know if that was intentional or not.
