Is there an app for iPhones that can turn your iPhone into a wi-fi hotspot WITHOUT Jailbreaking it?
Reader question: I have an iPhone and an iPad, and I got the iPad without 3G. So let's say I'm in the middle of nowhere with no wi-fi. I've heard of apps in the Jailbroken app store that can turn your iPhone into a wi-fi hotspot, so you can connect an iPad or other device to your iPhone as if it is a computer router. But I don't want to Jailbreak my iPhone, and I really want to know if there is an app in the regular app store that will let me do this.

No, Apple would never permit an app like that in the App Store. There are a couple of apps for jailbroken phones that will do that but if you don’t want to jailbreak your iPhone there’s no way to do it.
