It's now more like a cult than a political party. It's main purpose to exist is to try to hold back progress with it's appeal to the 'good old days' that never were, and to attack anyone 'not them'. They've even reached th point where they're beginning to 'eat their own' as each 'leader' attempts to 'out right' the next guy. They wave the flag, shake the cross and utter slogans and offer nothing to the 95% of us that work for wages. This is a sad end for what was the proud party of Teddy Roosevelt, Eisenhower, Nixon and Jerry Ford. Oddly, they may have another election left in them before this fever passes.
