Is the Republican party basically just affirmative action for Dumbass-Americans?
Reader question: Dumbass-Americans had it tough in this country. Time was, they couldn't get into the same schools as the rest of us, and couldn't get decent jobs. But thanks to the Republican party, Dumbass-Americans can become governors and cable news anchors.

The GOP/Teabag party has pretty much gone as far to the right as is possible without people noticing. It’s now more like a cult than a political party. It’s main purpose to exist is to try to hold back progress with it’s appeal to the ‘good old days’ that never were, and to attack anyone ‘not them’. They’ve even reached th point where they’re beginning to ‘eat their own’ as each ‘leader’ attempts to ‘out right’ the next guy. They wave the flag, shake the cross and utter slogans and offer nothing to the 95% of us that work for wages. This is a sad end for what was the proud party of Teddy Roosevelt, Eisenhower, Nixon and Jerry Ford. Oddly, they may have another election left in them before this fever passes. Like Freddy Kruger, the appeal of fascism is difficult to kill…it has to burn itself out.
