with respect to design, the point of the ipad is to compete with the kindle as they launch the itunes book store. Otherwise just a big ipod

steves new year prank: a giant iPod touch.
a shame to call it tablet PC. its a fucking toy. No USB connections, no free software source, no video output, blocked data transfer, dependent to iTunes, only 1GHz… there are so many deficiencies.
LAME!
i would buy a netbook instead. Lower price and so much more power

Personally, it is true the Filipinos pronnouce iPad as an iPod, as heard on Singaporean TV. As a video critic, the report is well prepared and the interviews were astounding. 5 stars.
