I currently have AOL installed on the computer and I’m forced to use it to connect. How do I reconfigure?
Reader question: I need to keep AOL on the computer but since I have a wireless network I no longer need it to connect. How do I setup my connection so that I'm not forced to sign on AOL everytime I want to use the et?

You can simply go to network connections and delete or disable the AOL network. Next time you click on IE, it should connecto you to the internet right away.

i have the same and i just double click on the internet explorer icn and it connects without using the aol software
