how to printer share between windows XP, vista and 7.
Exclusive video!
this is a video showing you how to printer share between windows 7 and windows XP. please note that in the video a said that there are no other videos on this but since filming this video I think one has popped up, but I dont think it shows how to printer share with 7 and XP, just 7. Also note that this also applies to windows vista as well its the same as XP so just follow the XP guide for people running vista, I would have shown you how to do it in vista but I dont have vista installed on any machine in my house any more. Also the error message you get in windows XP, the one I said was really common, only happens on some computer. It really depends on your hardware and network set up ex. (also the . That I put after computer name doesnt make a difference I tried without and still got the same error), its far easier just to browse for it. Just in case youre interested, saves leaving a comment Ill tell you now, the version of XP Im using is XP 64 bit edition, and the version of windows 7 Im using is windows 7 ultimate, (yeah I know ££££ but its good, and touch wood iv had no problems yet, unlike vista after only 4 hours I was sick of seeing blue). I hope you enjoyed the and thank you for watching.

ah yes windows 7 does seem to have a bit of an issue with drivers at the moment especially with printers, i’v had the same problem with my lexmark printer.
what i did was to Google the printer make and model followed by windows 7 driver. download a driver and install it on the 7 machine and when you install the printer it should sauce the driver locally rather than over the network. i tried it and it worked for me, so try that.
hope this helped and thanks for your comment.
nice one!!! : )

Hello, your video was great but I am having problems printing on a network when windows 7 has the brother 5240 hl installed and the other printers on my network can not print to the brother. I have set it up before, it works and once the windows 7 computer reboots it stops working. can you help with this? also do you know to set it up with terminal server, that is another problem. any help would be great.

great vid, was looking for something like this, I have a desktop pc with windows xp and a laptop pc with windows 7, and I set it up to printer share like in the vid, but for some reason when I try to print from my laptop with windows 7, on my xp pc, my internet security on there blocks my laptop from connecting to my printer attached to my desktop, and says a network virus has been blocked, and I have no idea how to stop it from doing that =(

Viperfrank built himself a Mac mini inside an Xbox 360 Case, no doubt using one of the many dead xboxs’ cases as a doner
Was kind of an inside joke i guess
I’d love a mac! Sick of my xbox dying, and its only gone twice!

p.s i agree Xbox three-shit-see mines been sent back 4 times now and the 3rd time i got a 2005 launch one back WTF!!!!!!!!
March 21st, 2010 - 13:32
@MokrieyDela i dont quite understand where the mac mini comes into it but if your talking about a mac mini that looks like a 360 FUCK YEAH! id buy one.
i love mac but i dont like how they look so cold and industrial metal but i like macs my dad got one and its wicked fast reliable you never get a virus or spyware no need to pay for shitty antivirus programs that just fuck your computer up and slow it down unlike shitty windows.
