How to jailbreak and unlock an iPhone 3GS with 3.1.3 firmware?
Reader question: I have an iPhone 3GS with 3.1.3 firmware, but I tried sn0wbreeze, redsn0w, and blackra1n ,but none of them seem to work, if anyone knows how to downgrade the iPhone that would work too. Thanks Again

Unless you saved your SHSH to the Cydia server prior to the release of 3.1.3, you can’t downgrade. That means no jailbreak and no unlock.

you can jailbreak your iphone just by consulting the guide and using appropriate programs.

Those are all outdated for 3.1.3
Go to http://Answernode.com then click on the iPhone section; there’s (free) software for both Mac and Windows along with a step by step guide and a section at the end on how to relock it if you ever want to.
People might try to tell you 3.1.3 can’t be unlocked, but Answernode’s software will do it – it is free and open source, but just not very well known yet.
Good luck
