How to jailbreak a 3rd generation ipod touch?
Reader question: I just recently got the new 32 gb, 3rd generation ipod touch when it came out in september of this year. I finally realized how cool jailbroken ipods are and i want to do the same but i dont know if you can jailbreak my ipod. I tried using blackra1n but i have to keep restoring it after i download cydia. Can i jailbreak this one and what jailbreak software should i use?? Also, i am using a Mac.

Don’t jailbreak it contrary to what everyone says it is illegal that’s why your warranty is void. Oh go ahead if you want your ipod to freeze and then you won’t get a new one but don’t come getting pissed off when something bad happens

you use blackra1n. After you install Cydia connect it to the computer you jailbroke it on and run blackra1n again.

There is a way to jailbreak it by using Blackra1n, but the jailbreak is tethered. “Tethered” means that you have to plug your iPod touch and jailbreak it every time you reboot your iPod touch. You can jailbreak it, it’s just that it might get annoying because every time you reboot, you will need a computer.

I would wait until the end of december because the Full jailbreak called greenpois0n this is a fully untethered one. u mine as well not even jailbreak if u have to tether it. wait until the full one comes out i no it sucks but trust me just wait u might screw up ur ipod with blackra1n its not worth it.
