How to configure two cisco routers on same laptop?
Reader question: I have 2 Cisco 2600 routers and 1 2950 switch. I am basically learning router and switch configuration for my CCNA exam. Right now, I can connect one router to my computer with one lone USB to Serial adapter I have. If I want to configure both routers at the same time would I need 2 of those adapters. How can I then also configure the switch? Would I need a third?

If you want console access to all three, you would need to either set up a console server (probably impractical in this case) or have three computers console into all three of them with separate cables.
Another solution is to configure the routers and the switch to allow for telnet/ssh access, then just console into one of them and telnet to the rest. The disadvantage is that your labs might involve removing telnet connectivity for testing, but that is an option. I’m assuming an upstart CCNA candidate such as yourself can manage configuring these for telnet. If not I can walk you through it.
