I thought I knew everything about my iphone. I am the type to figure out and not read directions. There are a lot of tips and tricks in here that you cant possibly figure out on your own. I now love my iPhone even more.
Using simple step-by-step instructions, lots of insight, and an easy-to-read writing style, this book is a fabulous find.
The iPhone 3G Guru is an excellent guide to maximizing the capabilities of the iPhone. The material is presented in an intuitive, and logical, fashion and the directions are easy to follow. I learned more in two hours with the iPhone 3G Guru than I had absorbed over a period of several months.
If you own either version of the iPhone and are interested in making the most of it for your particular needs, you will find the Portable Genius extremely helpful. The screen shots which are included in every chapter are thoughtfully designed and easily comprehended learning tools. Author have created a comprehensive and functional guide which I will keep close at hand and share with friends and family.

If you don’t want contacts and to learn everything that your iPhone 3G can do for you then this will be a great book to have to learn all about the iPhone. There are how to tips, little known features, and great ideas on really personalizing your iPhone. Whether you’ve had your iPhone for a while, or just got one, you’ll find many tips in this book for you. I love the cool pics in this book, at b&n search inside the book shows all.
This book is great for the iPhone novice as well, of which I can number myself. It starts with the basics of iPhone operation and gradually builds to offer more and more complex functions. The occasional humorous remark keeps the book light and easy. Directions are simplified.

This book may have information that I need to work with my iPhone but I am very offended from the risque pictures that are in this book. They have no place being in a book like this. This is supposed to be a technical book to work with your iPhone not Men’s Magazine showing women in risque pictures and with items just barely covering them up.
I believe this book should not be sold any longer and the vendor should have a talking to especially that this was not in the description of the book.

Poorly written, poorly organized, this volume did not even approach providing the insights or possibilities promised by the sub-titles or the jacket promo material. Random pictures, multiple “citation needed” entries and poorly reproduced screen shots are just a few of the “Killer Tip and Tricks” provide by this worthless volume. Save money, save time click on any one of a number of other iPhone related volumes.
