How many in your family have had the H1N1 vaccine?
Reader question: There are 5 in our family (2 adults and 3 kids under 7) and the kids all took the vaccine but we have not. I have lupus and get a flu shot every year but I don't think I will take the H1N1. I think that the shot made the kids a little sick for a couple of days after the got it.

no one in my family has. You should do some research on what is actually in a flu shot. Just think of the millions of people out there who are just willfully giving themselves over to have themselves injected with something, when they have no idea what is actually in the solution. Theres some pretty frightening stories out there if you do the research. Yes flu shots often make you sick because you are actually getting the flu by taking the flu shot. Its usually a more mild case than if you actually get the flu, but there can be some horrible side effects to flu shots. Do your research.

zero
I have had 5 friends who have had it. Out of those, two of their children (but not all the children in the household) have gotten it.
I’m personally passing on the flu shot. I never get them and have only had the flu once in over 10 years.

To Enchanted: i read somewhere bout good for getting flu.it seems that it’ll be better if we catch flu once a year so that our body is up to date for the constantly changing flu virus

I got both the flu and the H1N1 shot at my college. My family is trying to get the shot also. The flu shot didn’t hurt but the H1N1 shot hurt more because I think the needle is bigger. I have had no problems since getting the shot.

I got the H1N1 for my 2 children. My daughter 2 years old, has severe allergies and my son is a year old. My daughter does not have an egg allergy, but a peanut allergy. Never had any problems with shots. That vaccine damn near killed her! She starting having seizures in the line while waiting for our shot card. My son, has had diareaha for 2 days now after getting that shot. Goes to show…don’t get a shot before it is FULLY tested. I , myself, did not get it because I am considered a healthy adult….they say. If your children have allergies, or if you yourself have ANY allergies to foods….DON’T get the shot. They need to do some further testing if you ask me.

The Novartis H1N1 vaccine insert openly states that the vaccine can cause neurological and nervous system disorders such as, Guillain-Barré Syndrome, neuropathy, and paralysis. It even says it can cause death. Quote from the insert: “hypersensitivity reactions have lead to anaphylactic shock and death.” Read the insert yourself here: http://www.fda.gov/downloads/BiologicsBloodVaccines/Vaccines/ApprovedProducts/UCM182242.pdf
