How do I add free ringtones to my Samsung RANT?

Reader question: So I bought a rant the other day, and it's IMPOSSIBLE to add free ringtones to this thing. I have unlimited messaging, NOT data, so every time I try to send myself the ringtone, it prompts me to connect to the internet and download the link. Obviously I don't want to spend money on a ringtone, so I'm not willing to get charged for going online.

Any ideas?
