How do drug and alcohol influence one individual learning and education?

  1. It depends on the person, Bill Wilson studied drunk and did ok, for a time. Sigmund Freud did c all the time, and he came up with some amazing concepts. Overall being in a constant altered state just gets people into jails, intuitions and death.

  2. Drugs and Alcohol can take priority, or preference over studying or going to class.
Different substances have different effects, and different impacts on school.

For example, Ritalin is said to help one pay attention, and learn more.
Alcohol will definitely make the brain think slower.
Pot will allow the mind to think deeper, and differently, however things like math can be hard when smoking pot. Things like philosophy and critical thinking can be great when smoking.

Sedatives (like pain killers) will slow one down.
Cocaine is like ritalin, but one will likly do many other activities before studying.

Google is your friend, use it to research.

  3. Chemical dependency rehab… There are so many answers to your question. Hunter Thompson lived most of his life intoxicated and blew his head off. It really depends, man.
