How can i get windows media player on a Blackberry 8700g?
Reader question: I currently have a blackberry 8700g.I would like to get windows media player on it.If i cant is there a codec to play wmv files on a blackberry?

The Blackberry is a closed application system. If you own your own Blackberry server, then you can put anything on your Blackberry. Otherwise, it comes with whatever is on there, and whatever your server provider gives you access to.
The Blackberry Pearl is the only one that has a media player on it.

Actually AnswerMan has it wrong, Windows Media Player is the closed system, blackberry is Java based with a public API. Right now there is no way to play wmv files on the blackberry Pearl and no way on the 8700g.
