The spaceship ‘Valley Forge’ from “Silent Running” (1971) actually got it’s name from the location used to film some of its interiors; a decommissioned aircraft carrier named the U.S.S. Valley Forge.

They sais earlier in the show that Canada refused him entry since he had been reported missing by his family. Sounds like he has mental problems (maybe developmental disabilities) and he shouldn’t be alone.

Maybe I’m missing something completely, but why can’t they just let him go to Canada? For what reason, it’s his own business what he does is it not? I don’t understand, anyone want to fill me in? :O

I understand that most people probably don’t have such good interactions with airport cops — and I’ve got a bad opinion about most of them myself — and that’s exactly why this experience was so cool. Because it was rare and unexpected! Hard to believe, I understand, but the God’s honest truth!

I’m not sure if the JFK cops are the same as at Newark, but the Port Authority cops at Newark were extremely awesome with me. My purse with all my money, credit cards and ID in it was stolen. They not only found the guy, got my stuff back but when I came back a day later to pick it up and it was locked in the precinct safe and the officer who had the key was not working that day, they called him and he left a family barbecue and drove 45 mins on his day off to open the safe! That was cool!
