Surveillance monitors are usually black & white at a resolution higher than standard TV’s (usually 500-1000 lines).
They are connected to cameras via coaxial cables and display target images on different monitors. ‘Switchers’ can be used to run multiple camera feeds on a single monitor.
For remote surveillance, simply set up a wireles feed from a CCTV to your laptop or cell phone.
