Google is getting into the phone retail business and on Tuesday kicked-off sales of a Google-branded handset via its Web site. The Nexus One, which has been the source of Internet leaks and rumors for a month, was designed by Taiwan's HTC and runs Google's Android operating system.

  1. 8gb is cheap, I got my class 4 sandisk for $10 on Amazon. Once you get to 16gb is when it gets crazy. The cheapest one I’ve found is like $50. I don’t really need more than 8gb. I’ve been on this card since the G1 released and I still haven’t used it. I’m sitting at 4gb used right now but I think I’m going to eventually get a 16gb.

  2. @DumbestCrayon oh wow I’m sorry man. Yeah at best buy 16gb is $100. You might be able to find them online cheaper if you look around, not sure. I did think I saw an 8gb at walmart for under $40, I could be wrong though. Sorry for any inconvenience.

  3. Greatest phone I’ve ever owned…iPhone is done. This phone has double the RAM and a processor is a shit load better than the iPhones. Not to mention the AMOLED screen, 800×480 resolution 100,000:1 contrast ratio, Live Wallpapers, widgets. The list goes on. The iPhone has nothing on this phone.

  4. Show me a 32gb for under $50. They’re expensive. 16gb is $65. If you buy some cheap shit maybe but with sdcards you get what you pay for.

  5. I like it!!

  6. auto-focus?

  7. I don’t get it. Why is Macworld reviewing about Nexus One. Unless, they admitted defeat that Nexus One beat their iPhone! *gasps*

  8. I didn’t like it .

  9. That phone looks really… well… the design isn’t modern looking as I hoped it would be. The LG touch screen phone had a better design than this.

I was hoping for a more glossy look like the iPhone or a wide screen like the LG.

But I guess this phone isn’t targeted towards the teenagers or youth…. This looks like something my dad would buy.

  10. It will work on AT&T’s Data network, but you cannot get 3g

  11. good job google what partner said ?

  12. @rafetkrasnici1989 Comes with 4GB I believe, but microsd cards are cheap, you can get a 32gb one for like under $50

  13. root the nexus and the iPhone looks like a rock with a touchscreen

  14. @metroguy77
ya it can go on att, just not with 3g (in america at least)

  15. The phone is not supported on AT&T or Roger’s (Canada) GSM Networks.

  16. its ironic, macworld doing a video on on of their competitor

  17. I think it’s delivered with a 4 GB Memory Card and can be upgraded by buying a 32 GB one if I remember my facts correct..

  18. what memory capacity does it have?

  19. @mario3454 I’m mostly talking about the design of the phone. And this phone has hardware features on it that are pretty nice.

  20. Jailbreak your iPhone and you will see how the iPhone is lightyears away from other phones.

  21. O_O wtf… apple iphone aint clunky look at bloody Nokias they are clunky! they are the size of the apple iphone boxes…

  22. @donmatt74
u dont need google to do that
the government has been doing that for years
    and still is

  23. @donmatt74 do u have anything to hide, or do u think that all that stuff isnt being done now my worldwide carriers etc.etc

  24. Seriously- can you trust google? Now they have access to your phone records. They read emails, track your searches and now your phone.

    Just can’t trust them.

  25. It should but IDK how it does
