   not really important i hear it helps by 1 degree if you do… (if you do rubbing alcohol is i think the cheapest but it takes awhile to get it all off)

   it is important if your doing it that way because you need the bullets to be able to tighten on it (hope it helps good luck man)

   3 years that I have my xbox and just got this problem 3 red rings…

   So i’ll try to repair it by my own, do i have to remove the old thermal paste before placing the new one ? if so how to do it ?

   Also I hardly understand english when listen a voice, can someone please tell me why did he change the screws ? is that important ?

   If you send it in to microsoft to get the red ring of death repaired. Do they just give you a whole new xbox 360 like the jasper version or something?Or the same one just with a new piece?

   hey and remember, while holding the motherboard like that (touching all of the connections at one time) to were socks and shuffle your feet across your carpet, then grab the motherboard. gosh dang, nobody knows what damage you can do to a motherboard by just touching it while not being hooked up to a ground. just wow
