February 11th, 2010 - 19:19
Nice video, think I’ll go with Home Premium. Bought Ultimate for Vista which was a waste of money and I can’t see myself using this at all.

@nslamer:

February 11th, 2010 - 20:40

As long as you have Pro/Enterprise/Ultimate and a processor supporting hardware virtualization, then you can use Windows XP Mode. It includes Windows XP Professional SP3 (32 bit).
February 11th, 2010 - 23:09
Footnote: Windows XP mode ONLY comes with 32 bit versions of Windows 7 > Does not work in 64 bit versions of Windows 7 – BUT! do a dual boot XP Pro 64 bit with your Windows 7 and you really do have all bases covered.

Where can I get a wallpaper like yours?
February 11th, 2010 - 23:53
Could you please tell me what your system specs are? just show me your system specs through My Computer and the System Properties. I just want to know because when you record your screen, it is very smooth and crisp.

@anel115
Yes, you can download it but you have to have a system made for it, such as professional. I tried downloading and it said I was not using the right system for it or whatever.
February 12th, 2010 - 00:08
even though i have ultimate i just use virtualbox & real XP , xp mode only good if you dont have a retail xp.
February 12th, 2010 - 00:53
you can download it free on microsoft website , just google it .
February 12th, 2010 - 01:39
@nyihater4life U have 2 go 2 the system bios settings. when u turn on ur PC u’ll see it’ll say press Esc, or F11 or something like that 2 change settings. then u look 4 Hardware Virtualization and enable it. But not every computer supports it, so u can’t use XP Mode if it doesn’t. mine don’t so i have 2 use VMLite instead =(

It sucks that this is only for the Enterprise, and Professional editions… I could definitely have used this for sever a things already.
I could REALLY have used it for old partition software that would have done exactly what I needed… Instead I had to use Gparted which I only half knew what I was doing….
Stupid Microsoft…

lol SAME HERE
but i sneeked and installed it
February 12th, 2010 - 03:29
@coversinclosets It doesn’t use you hardward … it all virtual. So things like motherboards, network cards gpus are all virtual ones that have 100% compatability with the XP vm
February 12th, 2010 - 04:22
Question. If i were to Run virtual Windows Xp on my windows 7, would the hardware run also in compatible with windows xp?? because i have softwares that aren’t compatible with windows 7, and really want to put it into my laptop =[
February 12th, 2010 - 04:52
dude you realize xp x64 is more stable and compatible to old software than xin 7. plus it consume far less ram and system resource than win7. oh yeah directx is not a big deal since i can dling crack dx10/11 from torrent and optimize it with the api file only available in win 7 and put it in my xp x64 for better performance
PS: my game rig can last 5 year! just read my channel.
February 12th, 2010 - 05:51
How do you enable hardware-assisted virtualization?
February 12th, 2010 - 06:10
Sounds like someone’s Mommy won’t let them buy a new computer or a Windows 7 upgrade.
February 12th, 2010 - 06:24
can you use W7 XP mode to manually arrange your files (cause W7 only allow specified properties arrangement like by name, date, etc.)
Cause what im thinking about is if you import the file from XP mode to your W7, it might automatically arrange it by the ‘name’ default arrangement.
February 12th, 2010 - 06:45
yup =)
