The term “Mayday” is used for signaling for help. It comes from the French term “M’aidez” which is pronounced “MayDay” and means, “Help Me.”

You don’t even see the inconsistency in your own perspectives!
You seem to assume you know more than markets about “malinvestment” and inflation, yet you aren’t rich. Hmmm
Also, if you and Austrians can know better, then why couldn’t you join the government and run the economy better than the market? lmao
June 1st, 2010 - 20:00
It was ineffective recently, because the Fed offset it.
June 1st, 2010 - 20:39
BTW marginal utility is one of our theories, dashxdr, just so you know (actually I assume you do, and I know that you know the CONCEPT at least of a ‘liquidity trap’ and other segments of the Keynesian tissue of fallacies) in case you genuinely haven’t come across that phrase. It refers to diminishing utility of each additional unit of a given object so subjective value, relative to the person, explains the paradox of diamonds and waters: if we had 0 water we WOULD value it more than diamonds!
June 1st, 2010 - 21:25
And that’s the thing, you assume we don’t know Keynes! The people who criticise him know him best
Now, you theory is that savings need to fall and investment needs to rise. That’s the long and short of it. If this is the case, if the market really doesn’t work in providing it’s own investments in a period of ‘below trend growth GDP’ then how can government?
Obviously the idea is that investments need to be injected when a ‘liquidity trap’ makes it unprofitable hence unmarketable SAVINGleads2INV

Why do you always do this Zeldovich, everyone knows what these stupid theories mean, when you spam your criticisers by saying OMG YOU DON’T KNOW KEYNESIANISM it just makes you look like a child who wants to impress adults by testing their knowledge. Have you not noticed people tend to rise above it?
Why do you think fiscal stimulus is uneffective? Because it’s absolutely uneconomic, it’s confiscation of money to pay for that which the market wouldn’t, if investment is low savings are needed.

I love my country but hate my Satanic Government!
Our ignorant fellow citizens are too consumed with their own self absorption to stand against our satanic, psycho, fascist, govt. This current crop of people are the reembodyment of the spine less Good German citizens of the 1930s and 1940s. Clint Hershey

Hey, I’m not trying to be argumentative…I just wonder why some people are so angry at Obama? I mean, it looks to me like he totally inherited this problem….there no way that he had a significant effect on it in 8 months, this is LOOOONG in the making. So why do some people blame him? Cant you tell it was already messed up when he got in office? I mean I don’t know alot of details but that is extremely obvious.
June 1st, 2010 - 23:48
yeah all the symptoms resemble the normal flu virus im most cases. it is hard for an individual to know the difference without seeking professional medical attention.

The’ve been talking about global warming for 3 decades now. If it were as bad as they say it was going to get no human would be alive now. This swine flu is a joke.
June 2nd, 2010 - 01:57
yup, once people start dying from regular flu though, they could have all the bodies they need to say that swine flu is running rampant. Quick run to your nearest doctor!
Don’t drink the koolaid
June 2nd, 2010 - 02:21
PLEASE check out ON YOUTUBE 1976 “swine flu” propaganda videos ‘they’ showed us back in the 70′s!!! …david icke is alerting us to these videos & how they tried to introduce the virus & vaccinations BACK THEN… & there’s video on the stunningly frightening side effects that it left on ppl!! …theneurological damage that the “swineflu” vaccines caused was called “DNS”! …’they’ are using BIOTERRORISM on humanity!!! ..if you dont believe…it’s on youtube!…you have to know the truth
June 2nd, 2010 - 02:25
Our neighbour’s friend had the “swine flu.” She said it was nothing. Nothing happened to her that was out of the ordinary — just regular flu symptoms.

The 1918 flu pandemic was something serious – any airborne/droplet borne virus has a potential to wreak alot of havoc.
I think the next big issue is going to be the commercial real estate market – especially after Christmas. It’s pretty common to have multiple multi-million dollar real estate loans on commercial properties and when they begin to go under, it could be worse than the mortgage/foreclosure issues we’ve already experienced in the private market.

Texas will be in better shape due to the abilility for law abiding citizens having guns. Growing crops would be better, too. Comparing to IL.
June 2nd, 2010 - 05:44
I guess it was a body or bodies up somewhere that cold weather is more common. It could have been in Alaska. Right, why dig it up? The virus is dead and gone. Not coming back.
June 2nd, 2010 - 06:23
There was also an article I read on MSN and Yahoo around a year ago, about bodies of people that had died of the 1918 virus had been exhumed and the virus was found in the leftover tissues. I find it a strange coincidence that suddenly a virus that is of the same serotype as the 1918 virus is running rampant now.
June 2nd, 2010 - 06:27
Glad you brought up the flu demcad. I remember listening to Dr Bill Deagle quite a few months ago… about 2 months before this virus made the news saying that there was a 100% chance of an engineered virus attack in 6 to 12 months. I really recommend the people aware to listen to his radio program that broadcasts online through the GCN Network. He’s been talking about these topics for quite some time.
