Hands Down Jeremy Clarkson is just Biased towards American Made Cars and in his attempt to give his Majority Viewing body satisfaction he’ll say or do whatever it takes to make our vehicles look bad. Truth in the Matter is the Corvette ZR1 Holds the Second Fastest Time Around the Nürburgring for a Production vehicle, a time Faster then any Ferrari and only Beaten by a Dodge Viper ACR model I believe. The Z06 Even out did the Zonda and Other Expensive High end Sports/Luxary Cars in the process.

@ CiPhEr505
The System is so great in fact that Ferrari Ordered a Few Thousand Units a few years back, They Currently use the System in the 599 GTB, 612, and Ferrari California Spyder from what I know of, and have plans to use the system in other up and coming Ferrari’s. Now I ask you this, How can a Ferrari have a Smoother Ride then a Corvette, when it uses the Corvette Suspension System? Truth is, it doesn’t The Ride Quality is the same. I ask you to research this before replying.

@ CiPhEr505, The Suspension used in the Corvette Z06, Zr1, and Optional In the Standard Corvettes Is the “Magnaride” Suspension System, a system Highly Developed and I might add FAR from “Crap” The system Reacts to changes in the Road Surface up to 10 Ft In Front of the Vehicle, and Changes suspension stiffness is 1 millisecond, Mercedes ABC System Takes 70 Milliseconds in their Newest System!.

I honestly think people need to do more research on these cars before posting their non-sense crap and talking smack about what they have no knowledge on. (This Comment Goes Out To The People Talking Crap About The Corvette With No Supporting Facts And Personal Experiences.) Also for those of you who actually research and learn a little, You’ll find that Ferrari has been using GM products such as Starters, Transmissions and Suspension Components as far back as the 1960′s and in Current Models.

fag

That drag race against burning fuel was very cool, they should have saved that scene for a cool car though.. like a mclaren slr, how awesome would that look!
March 2nd, 2010 - 01:01
the 911 turbo has 4 seats,and the z06 is wat better than a c5
March 2nd, 2010 - 01:15
@RnB123100 It only has two seats? What the fuck kind of comment is that? What proper sports car has more than two seats?! Your friends c5 must be a total piece of shit because this Z06 has a boot big enough to fit a whale in! Oh, and yes, you can close the “trunk” while the doors are open.
March 2nd, 2010 - 01:47
Not at all its actually a really practical car and very comfortable for what it is =)
March 2nd, 2010 - 02:42
It only has 2 seats because it’s a seater!!?? doh. The ride is firm but no harder than any other sports/GT car and it sounds like your friend’s C5 is bust. The boot closed fine on my old C5 and on my old C6 Z06. You certainly didn’t need the door open. The US is generally dreadful at producing cars – the Z06 is a rare exception. Apart from the low rent interior it’s a great beast.
March 2nd, 2010 - 03:38
it doest, the rides afull and it only has 2 seats, plus u cant close the trunk unless the doors open
at least on my friends c5
March 2nd, 2010 - 04:00
no it doesn’t
March 2nd, 2010 - 04:40
the corvette is pretty good for the track but it sucks to live with
March 2nd, 2010 - 04:42
@Werevixen
guess you didnt know many AMERICAN companies have OFFICES and factories in other countries. Those products are imported. They cant read made in american because its not. Thats DOES NOT mean otehr countries make the products. Please do some research next time.
March 2nd, 2010 - 05:42
Ha then how do you explain all the GT1 and GT2 championhips of the vette?
Or how the Z06 is less than1sec slower around the TG track than the Scuderia? Hmm..

Fine by me. Most union members can barely spell their names but demand six figure incomes with free health plans and unionized benefits and retirements. They have absolutely NOTHING to bitch about…nothing.
March 2nd, 2010 - 06:16
Did I ever saw I liked the way it was going? No, but it’s a fact whether you’d like it or not, American companies will outsource to countries that don’t have unions, or unions that take less action, or none at all, because that’s the American way.
March 2nd, 2010 - 07:09
Demands? A livable wage you say? I should know a thing or two about it since I’m from Indiana, which was the original “motor city” before Detroit. The “average” union auto worker in Indiana makes $106,000. Now I know you couldn’t live on that because you’re brainwashed into happily giving your government the overwhelming bulk of what you earn. Chavez is doing the same in Venezuela, care to live there?
March 2nd, 2010 - 07:34
20 hours and going.
Endless wheelspin.
March 2nd, 2010 - 08:33
It’s usually the only part sticking out of the ditch too.
March 2nd, 2010 - 09:01
… most American stuff is made in India, Taiwan, and other less “well off” Asian countries by now, so you are infact importing it, from outsourcing companies because the big American companies you know and love don’t want to pay you, because you and your unions have too many demands, like a wage you could actually live off of.

The Ferrari is a long distance cruiser though, it was built around comfort whilst retaining a sporty image, which it has. The Corvette doesn’t have such luxuries lingering about, it’s purpose-built, it’s a whole different breed of supercar, and like any Ferrari, it is not an attempt to bring power to the people, but an icon of luxury and engineering passion to a select few.
