So… it is a big iPhone…
March 10th, 2010 - 10:28
No multitasking, not the full internet (no flash/internet videos), no web cam, no USB port. I’ll wait for the HP slate instead….The web pages on this devices will put lego blocks in place of videos….just like the iphone and ipod touch….really sad…
March 10th, 2010 - 10:42
let me run multi apps and get a camera mr jobs!!
March 10th, 2010 - 11:22
yeah most, but this particular clip would not play on my Iphone, and I wonder if anybody can say that they watched this on their Ipad, iphone, or itouch?
March 10th, 2010 - 11:36
It’s an absolute winner especially with existing iPhone users – at least speaking for my circle of friends. I barely use my laptop anymore because it’s just too bulky. I definitely already see some of the same issues currently a problem with the iPhone arising here though. With all this said … I’ll wait for the 2nd generation, as I did with my iPhone!
March 10th, 2010 - 11:38
Isn’t they suppose to have like a Anti-iPad guy in that circle rather than just apple fanboys? Sheeesh
March 10th, 2010 - 12:34
I am def going to buy one! The whole camera issue…I believe it is possible and highly likely that they could even add something that could connect via bluetooth and clip on(mount) to the top of it…who knows..
March 10th, 2010 - 13:32
I would wait for 2n gen 2 come out.. They usually would add something better like..flash or a camera and bluetooth or something
March 10th, 2010 - 13:57
If it was more like a laptop, than an iPod, or if at least had a camera on it, there would be more options for app creators. Fail I say!
March 10th, 2010 - 14:04
imagine how smudgy it will get…
March 10th, 2010 - 14:58
If it had a camera and phone in it I would trade my iPhone for it. I love my iPhone but the larger screen would be nice when meeting clients and scheduling appts without the bulk of carrying the laptop into homes.
March 10th, 2010 - 15:03
NO FLASH AND NO WEB CAM…LAME!!!
The sound guy must have been pissed David Carrs lavaliere mic is popping. I’m an audio tech and I would have been pulling my hair out. Charlie Rose is great show very informative without all the commercials and hoopla.

Re: Flash
If you play flash on a mobile device, you can watch the battery indicator fall off a cliff. Flash is a CPU hog.
March 10th, 2010 - 16:32
Walt is wrong about Jobs never having created a market for a “size” that didn’t exist. The Apple //c was the first really “portable” computer–the computer was a bit larger than current laptops–and the original PowerBooks were much smaller than other laptops at the time. (Let’s not mention the Newton, which was ahead of its time and had problems.)
March 10th, 2010 - 17:12
terrific
March 10th, 2010 - 17:33
@ghostplayer1117
You can run iPad versions of Pages, Numbers, and Keynote, the productivity suite Apple sells (iWork).
March 10th, 2010 - 17:51
@pawoon
The iPad, iPhone & iPod touch all support YouTube right now. Most YouTube clips are now available in MP4 as well as Flash.
March 10th, 2010 - 18:40
The guy with that weird voice is kissing the ipads ass like crazy..
The ipad wants every fucking website out there to kiss up to it and change… Basically bowing down to it fucking bullshit
it’s so lite I can probably use it as toilet paper
Piece of shit
March 10th, 2010 - 19:35
@particletheory Google is transitioning Youtube from Flash to HTML 5, which Apple will support soon
March 10th, 2010 - 19:49
OMG!!! Can’t wait to get one!
March 10th, 2010 - 20:45
Just to let everyone know, the ipad doesn’t have flash and won’t have the newest HTML5. So it’s just the same thing as an iPod but it’s bigger, the mail, photos, YouTube, and safari app will look a bit different, and you can watch HD videos on the YouTube app.

March 10th, 2010 - 22:00
what about it is computer like?
March 10th, 2010 - 22:24
In today’s slow economy I am certainly saving money I don’t have for a product that doesn’t do what I need… I feel offended, does Jobs think we are stupid? Apple will steal so much money with their propaganda. It’s all about marketing isn’t it?
Lame!!!
