Can you jailbreak an ipod touch with the software update, but still keep the update?
Reader question: I have an 8gb ipod touch, and I have the January software update on it. Is there any way I can jailbreak it and still keep the software upgrade, since I already spent money on it? If there is, can anyone tell me exactly how?

You’re born with 300 bones, but when you get to be an adult, you only have 206!

Typically the “jailbreak” apps I’ve seen will even put the software update on it for you even if you didn’t have it (mine did). So I don’t think you’ll have a problem. But I’d suggest check the FAQ for whatever software you use to “break” it.
