Please help!! I have the same problem with my 97 pontiac sunfire which has a pass lock security system which allows the car to start but then disengages the fuel injectors causing it to die and not restart until about 30 min or so If anyone could help I would appreciate your help. thanks

Yah, it looks like I am. I know this fix won’t work on the systems that require the radio transponder pellet in the key head, rather than the resistor on the key itself. Sorry ’bout that- I get Passkey II and III mixed up sometimes unless I’m physically looking at it.

RICK YOU ARE THE SHIT MY FRIEND ! I cant thank you enough ! Your trick saved My 94 Olds LSS . Pass Key II VATS . I bought the parts from radio shak and found the wire with eas. This couldnt be easier ! Thanks again my brother you are the man !

i have a 91 z28 and my car wont crank at all i kno it is the VATS but i have no clue what resistor rate i need becouse i lost the original key any help??? i kno my ecm wont read my new column and key.how can i find out the rate needed so i can buy the right number of blank thanks vid is very helpful tho thanksmy new key isat 9.56 on the 20 k setting should i build up?

I got that Seville runnin. The lady fed me dinner and gave me $64. Thanks for tips. I didn’t have any shrink-wrap so i just used electric tape with 20 gauge connectors. I told them about your video and they think we’re both geniuses. Happy Christmas!

I measured the resistance and put some resistors together and hooked it up to the wires and now the security light doesnt turn on at all and the car still doesnt start. I dont know if im doing something wrong. Can you please help Rick?

Ha Rickem my SECURITY light flashed 2 nights ago and Saturday morning came out and would not start, but the funny part is Sunday morning it started up twice. I just went on and replaced with new resistors. My question is how long do and should the resistors last. Thanks again…..

I have reistors on mine and it will turn over but not start….one time it started and I disconecced the resistors and the security light came on and stayed on and it let me start the car after that. Now it wont start again……what do you think it is?
