    Not sure if it has been explained already, but what actually extracts the ADAM (Kool-Aid) is a sea slug. As a host, a Little Sister is used. Since the Splicers would be drawn to the Little Sisters as they were harvesting ADAM, a character named Suchong invented Big Daddies to protect the Sisters. This is just the way I’ve understood it.

    haha the only reason i hate watching single player game play. He the corpse in the first one and it was RIGHT THERE! and the toilet at the beginning of this one has a coin slot next to it.
