Just because people who smoke cannabis are more likely to show symptoms of psychosis, this doesn't mean that cannabis causes psychosis. Has there been a controlled test in which a large sample group are administered cannabis over an extended period of time? How long will we have to wait until a clear and precise link is established when we know so little about how the brain works? In the mean time the wards are full with people suffering from drug induced psychosis. I should know, i worked on a mental health ward where i met them, and a friend developed a psychosis after smoking far too much cannibis. But people should not be so obtuse about its potential to cause harm. It is a powerful drug that changes the chemistry in the brain. This should not be taken lightly.
