Are there any possible ways to jailbreak ipod touch 2g 3.1.3 MC model yet?
Reader question: I bought it new without any updates to firmware 3.1.3. So is it possible to downgrade it or not?

The Eisenhower interstate system requires that one-mile in every five must be straight. These straight sections are usable as airstrips in times of war or other emergencies.

The newly released iPhone 3.1.3 firmware for iPhone and iPod touch brings bug fixes and more stability for iPhone 3GS, 3G, 2G and iPod touch users. Since Apple has fixed most of the loopholes which were exploited for jailbreaking and unlocking iPhone 3GS, 3G and newer iPod touch 2G and 3G models are currently unjailbreakable until new tools are released. Fortunately for iPhone 2G and iPod touch 2G(older models only) and 1G users, you can use redsn0w 0.9.3 to jailbreak your device on iPhone 3.1.3 firmware

Download the 3.1.2 firmware to your desktop. Then go into iTunes and hold shift and click “restore”. This will restore your iPod to 3.1.2 firmware. Now, you must download blackrain to your desktop as well. Go to google and type in “blackra1n.com. Select blackweather at the top of the google page and a picture should come up with some guy and a black background, rain falling, and iPhones orbiting his face. Scroll to the bottom and click windows or mac.. Whatever you have. A message should pop up asking if you want to run, or save the file… Save it to your dsektop because you will need it if you need to reboot your iPod for some downloads An re- jailbreak it. (post another question about that if u need to) now, have your iTunes minimized and click on the black raindrop saved to ur desktop. Click “run” now a small box should come up that says “make it rain” in it. Click that and it will put your iPod into recovery mode. Do not click anything on your computer because things will pop up, one of which saying that your jailbreak worked. Now on your iPod there should be a picture of the same guy you saw on blackrain.com. The screen will go to an apple and sometimes back to the picture but not all the time. Still don’t click or tou h anything. Wait for your iPod to go back to the battery on the screen and now your done! iTunes will rechognize ur iPod as whatever it was before and will sync all of your stuff back on. Also there will be the app called Blackrain on your iPod. Go into it and download “cydia” (my favorite one to use) and your done. (post questions about cydia if you have any)
